The Certified Public Relations Counselor (CPRC) designation is a second-tier, advanced professional accreditation earned through FPRA. Designed to showcase the expertise of senior PR professionals – defined as 10 years or more of practical experience – the CPRC designation builds upon the APR (Accredited in Public Relations) certification and identifies individuals as experts in providing public relations counsel and advice.

Earning the CPRC credential is a two-step process: presenting a case study to a panel of current CPRCs and successfully completing a comprehensive written exam.

FPRA members who earn their CPRC are eligible to join the Florida Public Relations Counselors’ Network (CN) and participate in select professional development opportunities and networking events.

If you are ready to challenge yourself and accelerate your career with the CPRC credential, contact VP of Credentialing Jessica Bohlman, APR at Jessica.Bohlman@travelandleisure.com.

“I loved the CPRC process, and — believe it or not — it was fun. The oral and written exam allowed me to test my public relations knowledge without the limitations and pressure that our everyday work typically requires, such as a tight budget or lack of staff to implement the plan. The situations presented in the exam provided great practice for thinking on my feet and offering valuable solutions. And, by passing the exam, I’ve boosted my confidence. Now that I’ve earned my CPRC, I’m also part of FPRA’s Counselor’s Network, a forum for senior-level public relations practitioners, which opens the door for additional networking and learning opportunities during special events that are exclusive to network members.”
